All of the Top 6 Finalist were selected as cover models. They exude individuality, drive, dedication, purpose and OBVIOUS Magazine.

When we started OBVIOUS Magazine 3 years ago, we had no idea that we would impact so many people in such a short

period of time. The finalist (Tracy Sgroi, Trendi, Vanessa Banks, Calvin Martin, Brian Stewart and Keavin Javon) all represent what our magazine is about. Their personal videos showcased them in raw form and we’re very happy to grant covers and lead editorials to all of them. Each cover model will have their own cover and editorial to represent their individual styles and artistry. The fans they’ve gained in this competition will be please with what is being planned for the March/April, Model Issue, covers.

We do believe that this will be a life changing year for them and glad we were an outlet for that. They will forever be known as: The OBVIOUS 6!

No Model Bag? A model bag should be something that every model has prepared and takes to each and every job.

I’m often asked, “What should I bring to a photo shoot?” Good question. I’m always impressed when a model comes to set prepared even if its for an editorial shoot. Unforeseen things happen and coming to a photo shoot prepared is the key to peace of mind.

A model bag is essential. As professional as you may seem, the team may forget that key item(s) that’s essential to making you pop in front of the camera and keeping a great flow.

The list below has been prepared for male and female models. You are free to print and share this with other models. Keep a copy for yourself. Enjoy!

After four weeks, 31 days and countless hours of Tweeting, Facebook posting, texting, crying and cheering, the Top 6 contestants can now breath [a little].

This competition had its ups & downs and its surprises. In the end, all of the contestants earned their place as finalists. We did a break down on who racked #1 overall in Facebook ‘Likes’, comments and watched their strategies from day one.

The next and final phase is each contestant will do a personal video, up to 3 minutes, showing their personality and answering a series of questions. The videos will be posted online for public viewing only. Our team will make the final decision on who will be the next covers. On January 16, 2012, we will reveal who won the male and female cover for our March/April 2012 issue on www.obviousmag.com.
