HOMAGE: VANESSA BANKS

Vanessa Banks’ angelic presence continues to inspire. Even after her passing, she is still making an impact. Illustration by TuTch Imaging.
When I decided to pay homage to Vanessa Banks, I asked one of our editors to do it because at the time, I was still stunned by her untimely death (like most of the world).
She was such an amazing person and I miss her dearly.
We only spoke over the phone a few times and communicated frequently via social media, however, I felt she was someone I had known for years. Her radiant personality and soft-spoken voice was very soothing yet inviting.
Not often in the modeling industry do you come in contact with someone who is a true triple threat. She was destined to be a megastar. She understood her value and knew what decisions to make that would get her to the next level. I loved her dedication, passion, and drive.
We commissioned artist TuTch Imaging to design an illustration that embodied her spirit and her love for New York City. We are very pleased with the outcome.
She may no longer be here physically, but her spirit lives on. I know she is smiling down on us saying, “Don’t give up!”
Bless you, Vanessa ‘Do Dat’ Banks!
You will always be known as
one of ‘The OBVIOUS 6’.
