When it comes to coats there are certain qualities you should look for: style, comfort and fit. The Pea Coat was designed in the 18th century by a Dutch farmer for his son who was going off to the navy. The recruit’s coat was admired by a petty officer and a supply of coats was ordered. Shortly after the pea coat became a staple of the naval uniform. Nowadays, the coat is used more as a layer you would throw over a nice button up or t-shirt on your way out the door. Don’t forget your keys!
