Agency, if any: The Artist Agency, DC
Age: 40
Height: 6’3

Where were you born? Washington, DC
Ethnicity: African-American
Zodiac Sign: Virgo
Favorite things: That’s a loaded question, LOL. I love a lot of stuff! But to name a few, I enjoy quality time with family & friends, traveling to new places, definitely love cheese (don’t judge me) singing, acting, and modeling. I love creating timeless pieces of art.
What music are you listening to at the moment? At the moment I’ve had Janet Jackson’s latest song “Made for Now” in heavy rotation. I love the chill vibe to the song ( And the fact that I’m in the music video doesn’t make me biased at all, LOL)
Favorite movie, tv show: Favorite movie would have to be “The Neverending Story” It has so many life lessons in it that I never really paid attention to when I was a kid. Favorite TV show hands down is Grey’s Anatomy. That show is amazing! It constantly reinvents itself to keep it fresh, and the acting and storylines are topnotch. I would love to be on a TV show like that.
Favorite designer, fragrance or grooming/beauty product: Favorite Designer at the moment is Mr. Turk. I had the pleasure of shooting an editorial recently with his pieces, and I wanted every single item from the stylist. His clothes are body conscious, hip, fashionable, and feel great. My favorite grooming/beauty product would be L’oreal’s Refining Clay Mask. I’ve been doing a lot of traveling for shoots and filming recently, and I’ve found this mask gives my skin a boost after long days.
What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling? I’d be a Rocket Scientist! Just kidding, I know I’d still be in the entertainment industry in some way shape or form. I love music and writing songs. I can see myself as a songwriter.
What’s something uncool that you love anyway? OK, I’m going to say it. I love McDonald’s. I love Wendy’s. Practically most fast food spots (I know I know, le sigh).
What’s the best thing about your hometown/country? The best thing about DC is the many pockets of culture waiting to be discovered. There’s something for everyone here. It has its trendy fast-paced sections (which I can’t get enough of), but if you want to chill and live the quiet life, we have that too. I also love that it’s a short trip away to NYC which helps during castings and shoots.
Place you would love to visit: A place that I would like to visit would be Paris right now. Still haven’t made it to that beautiful city yet. The history and architecture alone are worth the price of admission.
Which brand would you like to model? I would love to model for Tom Ford. His clothes are crisp with clean lines but still with an edge. His suits are impeccable and look great on a multitude of body types. His ad campaigns are sleek, and I’d be honored to be featured in one of them.
Favorite modeling experience so far? Hands down it would have to be working with Janet Jackson. When I got cast to be in her video, It took a minute to sink in ( I was in disbelief, lol) The Icon, the legend, Ms. Jackson if you’re nasty. Being on set was surreal and one for the history books!
Favorite season? I was born in September, so naturally, the Fall is my favorite. You can dress and layer fashionably without being drenched in sweat. Ok, I admit it, I’m a sweater ugh.
Favorite junk food? Big Mac. I know it is bad, but it tastes so good.
Where do you feel the most stuck in your modeling career? Probably right now I think representation is a huge hurdle. I’ve been blessed, but I also know I miss out on bookings because I don’t know about the specific castings. I feel the right representation would help that tremendously.
Currently, you’re obsessed with or about? I am currently obsessed with American Horror Story – Apocalypse. It’s a guilty pleasure; after watching the TV show, my life doesn’t seem so bad.
3 Words that best describe you as a person? Artistic, Empathetic, Determined.
Favorite entertainer or public personality? I would have to say right now Jennifer Lopez is on the top of my list. Her work ethic is insane. She is talented in multiple areas of the industry and shows no sign of slowing down.
Your favorite quote? “You have a 100% chance of missing a shot that you never take.” – Wayne Gretzky
Any shoutouts? Want to shout out Joey Harris for believing in my look and talent, Mary Rogers for birthing me, and anyone that has ever been told that they can’t do something because of someone else’s biased opinion of them. And lastly, Thank you OBVIOUS Magazine for this honor!
