Samia Gore decided to work with a team of experts and a Black female nutritionist to create her very own line of natural supplements, Body Complete Rx (BCRX), after struggling to find clean supplements on the market that were effective with quality ingredients.
Gore is proud to be an African-American female founder who started a business from the ground up with four children and hopes to inspire women to be successful and influential nationwide.
Body Complete RX made history in August of 2021 as the first Black female-owned wellness brand to be featured in Vitamin Shoppe’s weight management category nationwide.
Her collection of plant-based wellness supplements has grossed over $10 million in sales in just under four years and has seen the support of celebrities like Nicole Murphy and Kenya Moore.
Her main priority is to help her customers discover what it feels like to achieve their best self through overall holistic health and encourage women to love and take care of their bodies.

Body Complete Rx has made its stake in the wellness industry as a product with a proven formula for success. What sets this supplement apart from others on the market?
Samia Gore: Body Complete Rx was created as a result of my own wellness journey. After giving birth to my fourth child and struggling to maintain a healthy weight, I sought organic alternatives that could provide me with increased energy, boost my metabolism, and curb unwanted hunger, all of which I shared with my loyal followers on Instagram.
After struggling to find clean supplements on the market that were effective with quality ingredients, especially for women of color like me, I decided to work with a team of experts to create my line of supplements, which was a weight management kit.
I worked with a renowned Black female nutritionist to formulate and launch the five product lines, each of which prioritizes a different wellness goal with the intention of supporting a well-rounded, healthier lifestyle.
With the popularity of this product, we knew we were on to something. That’s how my company was born. Within the past 12 months, Body Complete Rx has been on a mission to cultivate a more diverse and inclusive wellness industry, making plant-based supplements for all women and men, regardless of shape, size, race, or culture. In addition, taking a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
How do you want to use your voice to impact society as an entrepreneur?
Samia Gore: It is vital that I use my voice to share my story of what it took to get to where I am today. I want to inspire and motivate others. I often share my experiences and lessons learned during my entrepreneurial journey with the business community through speaking engagements and thought leadership articles.
I am also the only Black female on the Vitamin Shoppe’s Wellness Council, where I provide wellness tips and best practices once or twice a month to visitors at Vitamin Shoppe’s website. My story has been published in local publications like Michigan Chronicle and national publications such as Elle, Essence, Bustle, Inc., and Us Weekly.
I was also a featured speaker at the 2020 ESSENCE + New Voices Entrepreneur Summit where I discussed bootstrapping my business. I provided key tips for entrepreneurs to stay focused on accelerating their businesses.
My goal is to continue to inspire other like-minded brands to join me in ensuring wellness is all-inclusive and make sure that the way women of color are represented in the industry changes.
Young women everywhere are becoming more entrepreneurial and disrupting industries with innovative ideas? What advice would you give to the generation following you as they step into their purpose as the future leaders and founders to come?
Samia Gore: This is an important lesson; I wish I had learned to delegate better earlier. There’s no reason for anyone to be handling all aspects of their business on their own, myself included.
Accept some people are better suited to handle certain aspects of your business than you and trust in them. Play to your employee’s strengths, and don’t be afraid to teach them new skills because, after all, to be a great leader, you have to learn how to delegate well.
In addition, there are so many highs and lows that come with being an entrepreneur and having your own business. I think what makes me a powerful woman is my resilience and perseverance.
Sometimes it’s hard to feel like there’s anything between the highs and lows, but I always tell myself I will soon reach a high for every low I hit. I would suggest an aspiring entrepreneur do the same. Always keep going, no matter what life throws your way.
