Luooif Studio: Spring/Summer 2020 Collection brought a much-needed breath of fresh air to LAFW that we haven’t seen in a while. Designer, Lena Loffurzzi’s LAFW debut at the Petersen Automotive Museum was superb!
For some time, a lot of designers haven’t presented great storylines during fashion week and have been a little lackluster – not the case with Luooif Studio.
The styling for the show was consistent with what she was trying to convey to the audience. The hair, makeup, and accessories were spot-on with great attention to detail, choice of fabrics, and diverse models brought collection home. The runway show was romantic and sexy without being over-the-top, and the placement of the woven tags complemented her designs.
The “Second Face” collection is perfect for editorial, red carpet, and the everyday woman who can appreciate Japanese textiles, eco-friendly fabrics, mysterious colors, and sexy silhouettes. I was very impressed and wanted to see the full lineup again to get the feeling of seeing it for the first time.
Luooif Studio was established by One One Six Landmark Luxury Couture Ltd. in April 2016. Shenzhen, China-born designer Lena Loffurrzi graduated from Central Saint Martins and went on to become a studio designer at Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, and assistant designer to haute couture brand Barjis Chorm. During this time, she was awarded the China-UK Newcomer Award, the Top Ten Designer Award, and the World Top Designer Innovation Award.
