RPM Italian DC
RPM Italian DC, located at 50 K St. NW right in the heart of Washington, DC is the backdrop for a romantic movie. Their chic contemporary decor is the perfect the setting for a wedding reception, a baby shower or a surprise engagement.
While you catch up with some friends during Happy Hour, enjoy their beautifully placed bar located in the middle of the restaurant that serves a variety refreshing beverages.
Our server James was magnifico! He was well dressed, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. My Editor and I felt like we were having dinner at an Italian home in Italy. The food is authentic Italian cuisine at its best.
We started with the Lobster Caprese, a perfect portion for two people. The fresh buffalo mozzarella, basil, and ripe tomatoes came together so well, the perfect mix of textures. Another great starter was the Mediterranean Octopus (featured image above), grilled to perfection and topped with chickpeas and celery.
Main Course
- Eggplant Parmesan (seasoned breadcrumbs, fresh mozzarella)
- Lamb Sausage Garganelli (Rapini, Pecorino)
- Grilled Asparagus
Both of the main dishes showcased their excellent authentic in-house made pasta. Everything was fresh and full of flavor.
We closed the perfect night with two Mini Gelato Cones churned to order with Trickling Springs Milk and artisanal ingredients, and the RPM Cheesecake topped with Strawberry-Rhubarb, made with a graham cracker crust. Yummy!
