Top 3 Travel Do's and Don'ts

List of Top 3 Travel Dos and Don’ts

You booked the trip, and now you’re ready to get out of town. These Top 3 Travel Do’s and Don’ts will help minimize your anxiety before your destination to make sure you have everything in order.

DO: Check-in online before you get to the airport.

It saves you SO much time, helps you avoid the lines and especially helpful if you are running late. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache. Also, in some cases, baggage fees are lesser online.

DON’T: Wait until the last minute to get to the airport.

“If I get to the airport at least an hour before the plane takes off, I should be alright, right?” WRONG!! You never know what unforeseen obstacles may happen before you get to the airport like traffic or long waiting lines. Give yourself enough time to get in there, so if anything happens, you have enough time to recover. For domestic flights, allow 2 hours. For international flights, allow 3 hours

DO: Invest in a fanny pack (crossover bag).

We know this staple of the ’80s is a little dated, but it will come in handy for you when you have stuff you need to carry that won’t fit into your pocket. Plus, if you’re out and about in a foreign country, it will come in handy so that you can carry all of your valuables.

DON’T: Forget your neck pillow!

A neck pillow is the most underrated purchase for travel that many people don’t think about until they GET to the airport. Invest in a good neck pillow. It will save your life during the flight and avoid nodding on the passenger next to you.

DO: Get travel-sized toiletries for your trip.

You would think this one is a no-brainer, but a lot of people think that grabbing the industrial-sized bottle of lotion is suitable for traveling because it’s already at your home. TSA will throw your things out, regardless of how much you paid for it. Do yourself a favor and purchase travel-sized (3.5 oz) toiletries.

DON’T: Forget to take in every moment and enjoy yourself.

Always remember to take in all the sights and actually have fun on your vacation!! You paid for it make the most out of the moment and make memories that will last a lifetime.
